I told you I was rather centrist!
In any case, here are my results. You can not get much more centre than I. lol. This explains a lot about why I'm finding it hard to pick a party and candidate. It's also a reminder that I really won't find the ideal party to vote for and I have to be okay with that.
At the same time, this has actually made things harder. Initially, seeing the Liberals be so close to NDP, I though they'd be a natural no. But, there are some important issues to me that I'm more in alignment with them than I am with the Alberta Party. If I go with the Alberta Party, the chances are they aren't going to win, so some of the things that concern me, I probably don't have to worry about. Like mandatory vaccinations: Liberals want to require parents who are refusing vaccinations to be (biasedly) educated, whereas the Alberta Party wants to force vaccinations. All of the other parties disagree with forcing vaccinations. This is clearly an issue that the AP aren't very centrist about since they are to the far left on it. (Er, according to this graph, they would be at the very top for it.)
Centrism doesn't seem to really exist in our political parties. How to figure out the best fit within the next few weeks will be interesting.
